| What/Who is Safe Haven? |
| Safe Haven is an Alliance PvE guild on the English Alonsus realm in the game World of Warcraft. The guild was founded in the summer of 2008 and has raided most of BC and Wotlk content. During the years we have acquired a decent experience how to create, maintain and lead guilds. Our goal is experiencing/enjoying endgame content. The focus is mainly on raiding, but we also have some hardcore PvP-ers and auctioneers.
Our goal is to create an large in-game community to enjoy WoW at its fullest! |
| Are you looking for new players? And what are you looking for? |
| Out of experience we know recruitment should never stop as a guild population is very dynamic. People come, people go, so yes, we are looking for new players.
And we are looking for people that want to enjoy playing WoW with us, who are willing to respect the guild rules and who are constantly looking for ways to improve their WoW experience (end game content and gear/improving skills/pwnage in PvP/reaching the goldcap...) |
| So how do I get in? |
| If you have read the guild rules and you think you would be of any added value for the guild, have a word with Ghaldyr (or one of his alts: Tootinytank, Ghaldar, Littlebee or Magelicious), he'll ask you for your intentions and your motivation and if all goes well, he will invite you. So no formal application required |
| How do I stay in? |
| WoW is all about fun. Safe Haven is a bunch of people who have a real life and who want to log into a game and enjoy themselves. So respect our guild rules and show some activity and all will be fine |
| When and how do you raid? |
| We try to raid on wednesday and thursday at 8.30 pm and we always do end game content which is suitable for the average skill and item level of the raid. For now we use the ingame calendar for invites (this might be subject to change) and we always select the first ones that have signed up. Raids are posted at regular moments, but at an unpredictable time during the day so everyone has a chance to sign up first. In case of any discussion it's the raid leader who has the last word, even if you don't like it :)
We work with a DKP system, where you can earn Dragon Kill Points by attending raids. You get points for attending raid, boss kills and occasionally for the effort of learning a new boss.
Each drop is distributed by an inraid auction where raiders can spend their DKPpoints. Everyone is allowed to bid on any item, so no onspec, offspec discussions
DKP is character-based and can not be transferred to alts.

| What's the structure of the guild? |
| Our guild structure is very flat. We only have a few marshalls and then you are either a raider or a social. Socials have limited access to the guild bank/ guild repairs. You become a raider after participating in your first raid with us(and if you behave appropriately). Only one character of you is allowed to be raider. Only in extreme needs of the raid, we can temporarily promote an alt to raider so he/she can take advantage of the raid supplies. |
| Do you have a guild bank? |
| Yes, we also allow guild repairs for raiders (when sufficient funds are available). Raiders will also be allowed to use buff food and flasks and have free enchants (when available), other stuff is available at half the AH price. Members are free to donate and we apply the simple rule, if it's not available, you provide your own. So no obligation to maintain the guild bank, but that also means no free stuff. |
| Do you use voice communication? |
| Yes, we have a private ventrilo server at our disposal and it is required that you use it during guild activities.
Details can be found in the guild information tab. The information is confidential and should not be handed out to friends that are not in the guild |
